Tom and Judy were enjoying life aboard their sailboat in the Berry Islands, Bahamas when a friend asked for Tom's help. Mr Lesley Dawson
Retired Waterman
Dandy, Chesapeake Bay,Virginia, USA

We met Mr. Dawson at his home in Dandy - #314. He was born and raised in this house. As we looked around the living room and front room, there were charming old photographs of his grandparents, parents and relations. A picture of his father's boat, the Louise, was hanging in the front room. We could see damage around the house from Hurricane Isabelle in 2003 where the water came up 15 inches (33 cm) above his living room floor.

Stephan Henderson
Owner, The Seafood Kitchen
Hampton, Virginia, USA

Whenever we travel to seaside communities, we always look for fish and chip shops. It must have something to do with our up-bringing in Newfoundland and South Africa. As David walked into the straight-up restaurant, Stephan started chatting to him as he does with all his customers. A generous and gregarious story-teller. You just have to meet him. And his fish is the best in town.
