Floating classroom

The Carriacou Regatta Festival. This regatta has been running for 41 years. It was started as a salute to traditional working boats and by the number of entrants this year it was a terrific sucess.

Working boat start

The working boat start is very different from our experience as they start from the beach. The Announcer counts down "5-4-3-2-1-GO!" And off they go. Supporters help to get the boats moving by giving them a big push. Photo: Susan Brown
